How Do Ductless Systems Heat and Cool My Home?
Ductless systems are easy to install and maintain. An outdoor compressor connects to indoor air handlers via a refrigerant line. You can adjust the temperature to your liking with a remote control, or on your smartphone.
You can mount a single air handler to one room or connect multiple air handlers to a single compressor to create zoned heating and cooling. You decide how many air handlers you need and which parts of your home or business would benefit most.
An internal blower inside the air handler helps to circulate conditioned air into the space that it’s in. It also contains a reusable filter that needs regular cleaning to work effectively.
When cycling, the indoor air handler operates much more quietly than a furnace or air conditioner. In fact, new owners often comment that they can’t tell when it’s on.

Tax Benefits
Starting in 2023, under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), homeowners are eligible for a federal tax credit of 30 percent of the cost, up to $2,000, for qualifying heat pumps. You can also receive a tax credit of up to $600 on qualifying high-efficiency air conditioning units.
Only certain models qualify for the tax credit, and you must have a tax liability from which to reduce your taxes. Consult your tax advisor for advice.
